Here at CrossFit BODYM we add a little bit extra to our WOD (Workout Of the Day) programming by incorporating specific “Skill and Strength” exercises for Olympic Lifting Strength and Conditioning.
We have found through over 24 months of practical application and observation with members and athletes alike that Olympic Lifting Fluency and general power output of ones body is lacking slightly in the average individual, limiting your athletic abilities.
After a very short time period incorporating these skill and strength exercises to our program we have seen dramatic improvements in our members strengths, power, and overall athletiscm and sence of well being. Therefore we made “Skill and Strength” training a permanent and unique part of the daily workout programming here at BODYM.
These are specific exercises for Olympic Lifting, but in doses mild enough to not have a negative impact on the GPP (General Physical Preparedness) stimulus that is CrossFit.
Special mention and compliments to Catalyst Athletics for the great structure and information for much of the specific Olympic Lifting Strength and Conditioning periodisation that we follow here at BODYM.
